Palestine is a region in the Middle East where Asia, Africa, and Europe meet. It is the hometown of the Jewish people. Approximately 2,000 years ago (during the Roman era), the country was destroyed, and the Jews began to live scattered throughout Europe.

The establishment of the State of Israel in this historical context is a joyous one. But when the Jews return, the Arabs are driven out. That's sad.
