Thank you for your email. My staff is closely reviewing your correspondence to ensure your views, questions, and concerns are addressed. This evening, the First Lady and I will participate in the 96th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting at President’s Park in our Nation’s Capital. This year’s White House Christmas theme—"American Treasures"— honors the unique heritage of America, and pays special tribute to our Nation’s spirit of patriotism. Each Christmas since 1923, the National Christmas Tree shining brightly on the Ellipse has symbolized peace and hope for our great country. As we commence this special season, we are reminded more than ever that family is the bedrock of American life. This Christmas, we ask for God’s blessings for our families, service members, law-enforcement officials, and community and religious leaders. I encourage you to watch tonight’s ceremony as Melania and I light the National Christmas Tree, enjoy fellowship, and hear from some of America’s most talented performers. Merry Christmas! |
