December 1, 2019, Special Zone Sunday Edition: Dear Sir,

President Trump has been striving to withdraw from the Paris Agreement, promote fossil fuel development and deregulate one after another.

But Democratic candidates are aiming to end the fossil fuel industry. On the other hand, in the “EU”, Russia and the United States are competing for the sale of fossil fuels in the “Nordstream 2” pipeline of natural gas for Europe promoted by Russia. “Fossil fuel” is still necessary. Mankind should prioritize “carbon recycling” technology development before space development.

Part 1. According to the Asahi Shimbun on November 11, 2019, Russia's “Nordstream 2” natural gas pipeline for Europe,

It became a “prospect” to be completed early next year.

However, there is a strong concern that European countries will become more dependent on Russia for energy.

The discussion is overheated, partly because of the bargaining with the United States, which aims to expand gas exports, and Ukraine, which is hit hard by the “change in gas transport routes”.

Between the two countries, the “Nordstream” of almost the same course has been in operation since 2011.

If “2” is completed, the transportation capacity will double to 110 billion cubic meters per year.

Gas is delivered to European countries through local pipelines.

Germany and others are cooperating with the plan to ensure a stable supply and demand for inexpensive natural gas.

However, there are concerns that the energy dependence on Russia will increase in European countries, and criticism has been raised from Poland and others in the movement of the European Union (EU) to continue sanctions against Russia in the Ukraine crisis. .

Meanwhile, US President Trump, who aims to expand shale gas exports to Europe, criticizes the plan violently.

Poland, the recipient of gas from the United States, is expanding the largest liquefied natural gas terminal in Northern and Central Eastern Europe near the German border along the Baltic Sea.

This year, a plan was made to create a new terminal with a view to transporting to the three Baltic countries and Ukraine. The US Senate has already submitted a sanctions bill for companies related to Nordstream 2.

Will Europe become more dependent on Russia for energy?

If the US becomes the Democratic Party's president, “energy dependence on Russia” is certain.

In order for the US to compete more favorably than Russia, low cost technology for 100% “carbon recycling” using “CO2” as a resource should be established and provided to European customers.

I think it can be done by bringing together science and technology from the US and Europe.

The development of “carbon recycling” technology should be prioritized over space development.

And Europe should produce “products using carbon recycling” in “special zones”.

Continue to next week.

Part 2. We propose to build “special zones” in Europe and other countries.

Please read along with suggestions to the US (Saturday).
