House Republicans say Archer's questioning confirms allegations that President Biden and Hunter and his family committed financial fraud. The White House denies these allegations.
Mr. McCarthy claimed that Mr. Biden used his political position to get involved with Mr. Hunter's business. He said he was "suspected of abuse of power, obstruction of investigation and corruption, which requires further investigation."
In the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, calls for Biden to be im-peached have grown, especially from hard-right parties, and some have even threatened to introduce a motion to remove Speaker from office to put pressure on McCarthy.
Leaked emails from a Ukrainian gas company revealed that the company was coop-erating with US President Biden's son Hunter in "money laundering."
Mr. Zlochevsky and Burisma were also indicted by British judicial authorities in 2014, but prosecutors closed the investigation without reaching a conclusion, and there are whispers that bribes may have been exchanged.
